HelloBirth® Hypnobirthing is a skills-based approach to birth preparation, providing you with solid information on which to base your decisions and a method for giving you more control over the sensations of birth. We do this by tapping into the power of your mind through hypnosis which brings about a deep level of confidence and relaxation. It's fun, easy and relaxing to learn. If you will have a partner attending classes with you, they will learn how to use a variety of tools they can use to take an active role in supporting you. The approach is highly flexible to a variety of needs. Hypnobirthing can be a useful tool in all types of birth experiences, whether you are planning for home birth, a low intervention hospital birth, an epidural birth or even a planned Caesarean birth...HelloBirth can help you connect with your birth experience.
  • WEEK 1: HELLO BELLY!
    • Learn strategies for self-care in a time of change. Week 1 class topics include: emotional awareness, preparation, physical comfort, nutrition, prenatal fitness, belly mapping and baby movements, relaxation techniques, and creating your birth team. 
  • WEEK 2: HELLO OPTIONS!
    • Understand and choose your birth priorities. Class 2 topics include: interventions, course changes and decision making, VBACs, planned cesareans, immediate postpartum expectations, and relaxation techniques. 
  • WEEK 3: HELLO LABOR!
    • Putting it all together! Class 3 topics include: lead up to labor, stages and phases of labor, ideas for long labors, comfort measures and breathing, partner support, interactive birth rehearsal, and baby's "Golden Hour."
  • WEEK 4: HELLO BABY!
    • Caring for yourself and your baby in the "4th" trimester. Class 4 topics include: transitions and adjustments in the first 6 weeks, baby's first days, newborn care, feeding, sleeping, and more!
